RAD's TDMoIP® family comprises a diverse mix of TDMoIP gateways, from small customer premises equipment (CPE) such as the IPmux-11, IPmux-14 and IPmux-1E, to higher capacity units for larger customer sites and headquarters, such as the IPmux-8, IPmux-16 and Gmux-2000. The products facilitate a wide range of applications, including simple end-to-end circuit extension over IP and delivery of a variety of legacy services over packet-switched networks (PSN).
The IPmux series of TDMoIP gateways converts data streams from the TDM ports into IP packets for transmission over the packet network. These frames are transmitted to the network via an Ethernet network port. A remote TDMoIP gateway converts the packets back to TDM traffic. TDMoIP products take advantage of the IP/Ethernet/MPLS network to deliver voice, fax, modem and data services without compromising traditional PSTN quality.
