ABSTRACT:
Agile software development and agile methodologies (Extreme Programming, Scrum, Feature Driven Development, Crystal, DSDM, Lean Development, etc.) have gained tremendous industry traction and momentum over the last few years. Much of their popularity has been fueled by the growing demand for near-term business value and rapid responsiveness to changing business dynamics. Traditional software development methodologies have experienced limited success in streamlining processes to meet these immediate business demands. Agile development methods, on the other hand, focus on frequent delivery cycles, minimal overhead, rapid customer feedback, and face-to-face communication to minimize project risk and accelerate business value. |
