ABSTRACT:
xmlConnect enables organizations to extend the core business logic embedded in mainframe applications and provide thousands of users with secure access to mainframe information through a Web browser. As a powerful Web services development platform, xmlConnect provides users with extended access to highly scalable enterprise applications through the SOAP/XML interface. Many applications, platforms and technologies (including .NET, Delphi and others) support Web Services and the SOAP/XML interface. xmlConnect communicates with these, providing the access companies need to critical mainframe assets.
xmlConnect bundles the xmlConnect Server and eXtremeVista. The xmlConnect Server provides a dedicated, high-performance server engine to support accessing enterprise transactional systems. eXtremeVista, a Mainframe-to-Web development tool, provides rapid development and deployment of enterprise applications and data to the Web.
