ABSTRACT:
Composite Applications reuse logic from two or more existing applications inside an enterprise or across enterprises to form a new application that automates a higher level business process. Composite applications use Internet standards like XML, J2EE, and SOAP to create a new layer of abstraction that isolates the existing applications from change. These loosely coupled systems are much faster to develop and deploy and can be easily modified and reused in support of new business requirements – a considerable advantage over traditional hard-wired point-to-point EAI solutions. Composite applications are the building blocks of Web services and represent a great way to derive near-term ROI while gradually adopting a Web services strategy over time. |
