ABSTRACT:
Intransa, the global leader in IP-SAN storage, announced today that Wipro Spectramind, the largest third-party offshore BPO service provider in India, after an extensive evaluation of various storage options including DAS, NAS and traditional Fibre Channel SAN, has decided to implement an IP based Storage Area Network (IP-SAN) built around Intransa's IP5000 storage solution, to facilitate online data archival and to ensure high availability of rapidly growing customer data at its call centres.
With IP 5000 storage system, Wipro Spectramind will be able to deliver live as well as archived customer records to the front line executives at high speeds while keeping data management costs at the lowest possible levels. Intransa's IntraStor? architecture will also allow IS managers to manage the networked storage from anywhere in the network. Key storage management functions such as the virtual volume manager, mirroring and snapshots can all be implemented now from within the network itself. Future growth in data sizes can also be easily managed by attaching additional storage or controller modules to the Ethernet network.
