Vintela Management eXtensions (VMX) extends SMS 2003 to enable IT administrators and service providers to manage UNIX, Linux and Mac OS X systems natively through the SMS console. VMX solves multiplatform administration and management problems by seamlessly integrating with SMS to extend SMS management and administration capabilities to non- Windows platforms. VMX is part of the Vintela Integration Architecture (VIA). Using the VMX Client (similar to the SMS Advanced Client), VMX provides an extensible framework for management and monitoring of UNIX and Linux clients.
