ABSTRACT:
Vintela, a leading provider of innovative platform integration solutions, today announced that Microsoft will provide first-level product support for Vintela Management eXtensions (VMX) through Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS). Vintela will provide technical training for VMX to Microsoft PSS groups throughout May and June 2004, in preparation for the release of VMX later this summer.
VMX extends Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 to enable IT administrators and service providers using Microsoft SMS 2003 to manage UNIX, Linux and Mac OS X systems through the SMS console. VMX solves multi-platform administration and management problems by seamlessly integrating with SMS to extend SMS management and administration capabilities to non-Windows platforms. |
