ABSTRACT:
The 8 port SATA RAID controller is a cost-effective solution for applications where higher levels of sustained read and writes are required, such as video streaming, web content, video-on-demand, security and surveillance, fixed content/reference data storage, and network attached storage. Adaptec's 2810SA is a native 8 port Serial ATA RAID controller that supports the same advanced RAID feature set available in Adaptec Ultra320 SCSI RAID controllers, including RAID Level Migration, Online Capacity Expansion, and optimized disk utilization. The 2810SA is an I/O processor-based controller which significantly reduces CPU utilization.
