ABSTRACT:
Trusted Space supports Alternate ID types which can be used for additional security and convenience in the authentication process. One type of Alternate ID is RFID (Radio Frequency ID). The RFID consists of a RFID badge or sticker device that an individual can wear or carry. This device emits a unique RF signal to a receiving unit that is connected to the workstation, so when an individual walks up to the workstation the system "knows" they are present and prompts them for their biometric to confirm their identity. When the person walks away from the workstation, the system "knows" that the person has left the area and can immediately lock or even logoff the computer session. |
