ABSTRACT:
People in IT organizations are faced with the problem of dealing with dissimilar information; especially with those corporate assets that enable mission critical applications, such as: Job Control language (JCL, Unix Scripts, OCL and others), programming languages (Cobol, PL/I, Natural, C++, Java and others), Databases (DB2, IMS, VSAM, DL/I, Adabas and others), transaction management systems (CICS, IMS and others), operational documentation (PDF, .DOC, .XLS, .PDF and others) and Schedulers.
This document discusses the main problems and issues an IT organization confronts when managing their corporate assets in order to reduce the elevated maintenance costs as well as minimize the risks when assessing the impact of a change. Also, introduce the Smart TS XL solution to reduce the complexities and costs of the aforementioned problem.
