ABSTRACT:
This white paper provides a strategic roadmap for choosing the optimal media format to improve the likelihood of broadband video success. The key strategic considerations in choosing a media format are discussed, along with a review of how these have been prioritized by certain segments of the media industry. Current data and trends regarding which formats these media segments have decided upon are also presented. Finally, the paper discusses the important role that a trusted content delivery network (CDN) partner plays, regardless of the media format chosen, in ensuring that broadband video is delivered in a secure, high-quality, scalable and cost-effective manner.
