ABSTRACT:
Akorri and NetApp have partnered to deliver a cost-effective solution that helps customers deliver consistently high application performance. This solution combines NetApp's advanced enterprise storage solutions with Akorri's BalancePoint software for managing performance and utilization across the server and storage domains. It has been tested in NetApp and Akorri data centers, and with joint customers. This paper describes the capabilities of Akorri BalancePoint, highlights an application example from the joint testing and demonstrates how this solution can help NetApp customers:
- Identify contention between applications that are causing poor performance.
- Rapidly identify if a performance problem is server or storage related.
- Improve Microsoft Exchange performance on NetApp infrastructure.
- Manage performance and utilization in virtualized environments.
