ABSTRACT:
With the majority of employees working outside of headquarters, enterprises today must have a plan in place to support these remote work forces. IT organizations provide networked applications to these remote employees - the tools these employees need to efficiently complete their work. If productivity is a measure of work complete under a specified period of time, then more work completed under the same period time means more productivity. Applications that respond quickly mean the employee can complete more work in the same amount of time, meaning the employee is more productive. Serving applications to remote offices means subjecting performance to the slow down caused by the wide area network (WAN), and effectively reducing productivity. The Expand Compass platform offers a solution to this problem, accelerating applications over the WAN and improving remote office productivity.
