ABSTRACT:

Peoples First Community Bank is located in the Florida Panhandle and was constantly faced with hurricane threats. As this bank struggled with the inefficiencies of their backup tapes the problems of effectively protecting their data from a disaster became much more of a burden.

As federal guidelines regarding data protection became more and more strict, the bank realized that they were in dire need of a new solution. Finally, they evaluated the merits of disk-to-disk (D2D) backup and came to the conclusion that this strategy would be the most effective.

Read this white paper to learn more about the journey this bank took to improve their disaster recovery and data protection schemes and how one D2D backup solution was able to deliver the critical benefits they needed, including:

  • More robust disaster recovery
  • Improved security
  • Faster backup and restores
  • Improved compliance
  • And more
