ABSTRACT:
The IRMS Go-Kit is a fully functional warehouse contained within a prepared storage case. It is ready to go at a moments notice and contains everything necessary to run paperless distribution and medical dispensing facilities. Integrated Warehousing Solutions has brought its extensive expertise in the supply chain management software development field to the forefront of developing a custom version of our IRMS enterprise warehouse management software to meet the demand for a mobile inventory control & management system. Our application has been designed to be simple and streamlined; to remove confusion; to assist and to not overwhelm the end user.
It is critical that such solutions meet the following key criteria:
- Self-Contained. IRMS is designed as a self-contained system that fits into a medium-sized trunk - about 10 cubic feet - and has all necessary components necessary to operate a mobile distribution center.
- Mobile and Standalone. IRMS requires no infrastructure to operate effectively. The system has been designed specifically for the worst case scenario: to operate without connectivity or communication with a network. Of course, where such connectivity exists, the system is able to be monitored remotely, but it's not a requirement.
- Rugged and Field-Ready. Using state-of-the-art, field-proven, commercial grade technologies including rugged laptops, wireless RF and handheld equipment and a wireless network with connectivity to wireless access routers, IRMS has been designed to take the abuse of the most demanding field conditions.
- High Performance. As an offspring of our successful commercial grade software package, IRMS is designed to also function side-by-side handling daily operational requirements of daily distribution and inventory control activities by numerous planning agencies.
- Flexible and Modular. IRMS provides substantial value to command and control personnel when network connectivity exists, permitting remote monitoring of events in the field. Given the ability to access event activities without having to call personnel directly, it is possible to move assets into "hot" zones without detracting field personnel from their activities.
- Easy to Use. At its core, IRMS is an enterprise-ready warehouse and inventory control system. Streamlined to automatically perform logical routines, as well as operating on a reduced menu structure, the application provides maximum transparency to the end user.
