This white paper covers the five steps in disaster recovery planning: initiation, business impact analysis, strategies, plan development and governance. This white paper comprises phase I and II of the process. The first part will explain how to obtain top management support, establish the program's scope, choose a methodology, and assemble a steering committee and a core DR team. The second half of the white paper will explain the Business Impact Analysis (BIA) process and how to conduct a thorough evaluation of risks to the organization.
