ABSTRACT:
According to one study by the Gartner Group and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 90% of all IT departments spend most of their time keeping their systems up and running, instead of delivering strategic business value to their organizations.
The whole point of cutting-edge technology is to solve problems-not hinder innovation. New applications should increase company productivity-not break the whole system. IT departments should be driving new ways to use information to increase productivity and save time. IT departments should be welcoming the newest technologies with open arms, instead of dreading every system upgrade.
