ABSTRACT:
This paper will discuss Lotus Domino 6/7 and its password management functionality in the following critical categories: single sign-on, password synchronization, password expiration, password quality, and authentication against Microsoft Active Directory, Windows NT, Sun ONE LDAP, and Novell eDirectory.
This paper provides IT directors and managers with information and insight on how they can add numerous capabilities not currently available in Domino 6/7, allowing their organization to:
- Secure the password authentication process while decreasing calls to the Help Desk about forgotten passwords or password resets;
- Eliminate end-user frustration with managing multiple passwords;
- Enable remote password self-management; and
- Provide authentication against Microsoft Active Directory and other LDAP directories
With PistolStar's Integrated Security Plug-Ins, password management solutions for IBM Lotus technology, organizations strengthen Domino's technological landscape. Further, they achieve added value based on PistolStar's knowledge and experience, as well as technology that speeds access and simplifies once-challenging areas of password management and security.
