ABSTRACT:
IT organizations must reconcile two opposing forces. On one hand, improving business outcomes through IT initiatives such as IT business alignment, service management, datacenter transformation and application quality requires cross domain information sharing and collaboration around the perspective of services provided to the business. On the other hand, the increasingly dynamic and distributed nature of IT environments creates more specialized management silos and fragmentation of the very business service information that needs to be shared.
